Living Open-Air Museum in Klon

The village of Klon is an extraordinary place. You’ll find here forty wooden cottages from the end of the 19th century.

The houses are facing the road - this setting once dominated the Masuria region. Bear in mind that they were built without using nails. The wooden elements had been joint with the so called “tusks”. Don’t forget to look at the crosses placed on cottages Before the war, the Catholics marked their homes in this way. In 1964 Klon was entered in the register of monuments.
